Sonora Gloria Matancera is a Cuban orchestra specializing in son cubano and traditional Cuban dance music. Founded in Matanzas, Cuba, in 1927, the ensemble has maintained a multi-decade career as one of Cuba's long-standing musical groups, presenting releases such as the album "75° Aniversario".
In 2004, the group recorded the album "Pare Cochero" for the TUMI Music label, featuring production by Grammy-winning musical director JoaquÃn Betancourt. The orchestra's catalog also includes the album "A Bailar Con La Gloria" and the compilation "Sus Grandes Éxitos (2024 Remastered)", which was released in 2024.
