Combo Chévere is a salsa band based in Austin, Texas. Founded in the summer of 2024, the group was formed by members of the local band La Tradición, which had gone on an indefinite hiatus. The ensemble was co-founded by its lead singer and trumpet player, alongside assistant director Danny Rodriguez on timbales and Frank Cano on piano. Other musicians recruited for the lineup included trombone player Chris Murphy. The band describes their style as old-school salsa with a new style.
The group debuted their recorded catalog with the single "Perdiendo El Control" in 2024, followed by the release of "Confiésame" in 2025. In addition to recording, Combo Chévere performs live in the Austin area.
