Nikki Alva is a Latin American singer-songwriter, pianist, actress, music producer, and sound engineer, born in New York City on January 2, 2002 to Colombian parents. Raised with a musical background, she began developing her career in the music industry during her childhood. At the age of 15, a trip with her father to Puerto Rico to watch established salsa musicians perform live solidified her interest in pursuing and preserving the salsa genre, with the goal of bringing a fresh style to both Latin and English-language music.
Alva has built a catalog of singles showcasing her work in contemporary salsa. Her early releases include "Detrás De Las Ventanas (Urban Remix)" in 2018, followed by "Dime Que Me Amas (Salsa Version)" and "Desconocidos" in 2019. In 2020, she released several singles including "En Mi Corazón", "Tu Amor Es Mi Piel", "Quédate", and "Te Deseo Una Feliz Navidad". Her subsequent recordings include her 2022 salsa adaptation "A Ella (Versión Salsa)", "Vuelo En Tus Brazos" and "El Arbolito" in 2023, and "Romántica" and "No Quiero Ni Mirarte" in 2024.
