Juan Ángel Segarra Crespo, known professionally as Nino Segarra, is a Puerto Rican singer, composer, musician, and arranger born on June 21, 1953, in Maricao, Puerto Rico. Showing early musical interest and talent, he mastered instruments such as the guitar and bass. Over a career spanning several decades, he established himself as a key voice in the romantic salsa genre. His musical breakthrough came with the release of the production "Con la música por dentro," which helped elevate his status as a sought-after singer and arranger in the dance music scene.
In addition to his early productions, Segarra has maintained an active recording presence. His later catalog includes a wide range of salsa singles, with 2024 releases such as "Besos Usados," "La Oportunidad," "Lo Que No Sabes," and "Boricua Como El Coqui."
