Luchito Muñoz was born on January 29, 1979, in the La Victoria district of Lima, Peru. A self-taught pianist, singer, composer, arranger, and producer, he began his career as a soloist and trio pianist in various venues across Lima. He subsequently transitioned to singing bolero and salsa, performing with several prominent national orchestras in Peru.
After relocating to the United States, Muñoz founded the band Latin Soul in 2010. His work as a sonero and producer led him to collaborate with notable figures in the genre, including performing alongside the Spanish Harlem Orchestra in New York and receiving recognition from Rubén Blades. His discography spans salsa and timba, with releases such as "Llegando al Solar (Latin Soul Live Session 2022)" (2022), "Necesito una Amiga" (2023), "El Reperpero" (2024), and "Estás Aquí" (2025).
In 2026, Muñoz released the studio album "Volver al Mañana," which was preceded by the singles "La Tortuga" and "Sé Que Aún Tu Me Sueñas." The production features contributions from former members of Seis del Solar, the historic backing band for Rubén Blades.
