Fragancia is a salsa and timba vocalist who first rose to prominence during the 1990s as a member of the tropical group DLG (Dark Latin Groove). Working under the guidance of producer Sergio George, the group became known for integrating salsa with urban and reggae styles. During this period, DLG achieved significant success with hit tracks including La Quiero a Morir, Juliana, Volveré, and No Morirá.
As a solo artist, Fragancia has continued to record tropical music within the salsa and timba genres. His independent projects include the album Historia sin contar, as well as a consistent stream of single releases. Between 2022 and 2023, he released singles such as Muñeca, The Street, Q Lo Q Tú Dice, and Un Negro Sabroso.
His output in 2024 featured songs such as Casa Campo, Fiesta, Makarao (including a Big Room Remix), and two versions of Rumba Pá Cuero (Urbana and Sandunga). In 2025, he followed these with the single Tu Amor Me Llena.
