MarÃa Concepción Alonso Bustillo, known professionally as Maria Conchita Alonso, was born on June 29, 1957, in Cienfuegos, Cuba. She began her career as a recording artist in 1982 with the release of "Dangerous Rhythm". Her breakout success came with her second album, "Maria Conchita", in 1984, which established her as a star in the Spanish-speaking market and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Artist.
Alonso has maintained a steady output of releases spanning several decades. Her recent recorded work includes a series of singles released in 2022, which include "Inexplicable", "Mi Amigo", "Baila Pa MÃ", "Dancing Inside Your Heart", "Fly Like An Angel", "BEBE DE MI", "Mujer Seducida", and "Shake It Out".
