
Gilberto Javier Ferrer Silva was born on May 27, 1979, in Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela. He began studying music at the age of eight at the Conservatorio de Música "José Luis Paz," where he received instruction in music theory and solfege. He went on to establish himself as a Venezuelan multi-instrumentalist, keyboardist, composer, and music producer.
Now based in Miami, Ferrer launched his debut solo production, titled "Invitados by Gilberto Ferrer." This project consists of duets and collaborations with a variety of Latin American and Venezuelan artists, including Pedro Castillo, Samo, Daniel Sarcos, Alicia Machado, Rafael "Pollo" Brito, Diveana, SanLuis, Nelson Arrieta, Yasmil Marrufo, and Carlos Alfredo. His portfolio also includes work on television and film projects, with credits in "Huascar Barradas Entre Amigos" (2006) and the production "Interview With Marilyn" (2019).
Ferrer continues to release and produce music, including his 2026 single release "Como Duele el Frío."
