Orlando Hurtado is a Colombian salsa singer and educator born on August 7, 1971, in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Raised in a musical family where his parents and siblings worked as professional musicians, Hurtado developed an early interest in music. He went on to earn a degree as a Licenciado en música (music graduate) and established a career as a university and school teacher alongside his musical endeavors.
Hurtado officially debuted as a recording artist in 2007 with the album "El Profesor," which he recorded with his group Orquesta Sensación, referencing his profession in pedagogy. Spanning genres such as salsa and timba, his discography also includes the studio album "Duele el amor."
Between 2021 and 2024, Hurtado released several new productions. In 2021, he published the singles "La Reina Que Me Gusta" and "No Hay Remedio," followed by "No Te Dejas Atrapar" in 2022. In 2024, he released the album "La Rumba La Prendo Yo."
