Luis Ramón Valle Sánchez is a Cuban jazz pianist and composer who blends traditional Cuban rhythms with classical jazz and contemporary influences. Early in his career, he performed as a solo artist and led the jazz quartet Brujula, appearing at international events such as the Havana Jazz Festival and festivals in Bogota and Mexico DF. From 1991 to 1993, he was a member of Di kara, a band led by Nueva Trova founder Silvio Rodriguez.
Over the course of his career, Valle has performed and recorded with notable musicians including Roy Hargrove and Marcus Miller. With a recording career active from 1998 through 2025, his work primarily spans Latin jazz and gnawa. His discography includes albums such as Inner State (2020), Playground (2024), Flashes from Holland (2024), and Havana (2025), as well as singles like Free at Last, Laberinto, Dayla, A Cuban Lost, Lo Que Tienes Tú, Johanna, and Tributo.
