
José Nogueras is a Puerto Rican singer, guitarist, composer, and producer recognized for his versatility across Puerto Rican Christmas music, nueva trova, and tropical genres. He discovered his interest in music and composition at a young age, influenced by his father, José Nogueras Chapel, a poet from Añasco, and his mother, Milka Vega, of San Sebastián. Nogueras began his professional career in music at the age of 17, eventually finding success as a songwriter and performer in multiple fields, including ballad, rock, salsa, and traditional holiday music.
His recorded catalog spans several decades, with recorded activity documented in catalogs from 1987 through 2026. He is particularly associated with festive Puerto Rican music, as highlighted by works like "Parranda Viene, Parranda Va," alongside contemporary tropical albums such as "Son del caribe" and "Boricua Dondequiera."
