Luisito Carrion

Ángel Luis Carrión Cáceres, known professionally as Luisito Carrión, was born on October 26, 1962, in the town of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He developed an interest in music at an early age through his father, Ángel Ruiz Carrión, who served as the musical director of Orquesta Kafé. At thirteen, Carrión officially began his singing career by joining his father's band, which performed salsa, merengue, and bolero music.

Following his time with Orquesta Kafé, Carrión went on to sing with other notable ensembles including Orquesta La Nativa and Grupo Concepto Latino. During his early years as a performer, he shared the stage with legendary salsa vocalists such as Celia Cruz, Adalberto Santiago, and Santitos Colón.

In his more recent career, Carrión has continued to perform salsa and timba music, releasing a variety of group recordings and singles. His catalog highlights include the 2020 collaborative album "Luisito Carrion Feat Zaperoko la Resistencia Salsera del Callao," as well as singles such as "Mi Viejo" (2020), "Corazón Partio" (2022), "Qué Ganas Tengo" (2024), "Señora" (2025), and "Tres Soneros Tres Amigos" (2025).
