Tommy Olivencia Jr. y La Primerisima

Tommy Olivencia Jr. is a Puerto Rican timbalero and bandleader based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He leads the salsa orchestra La Primerísima, carrying on the musical legacy of his father, the legendary bandleader Tommy Olivencia.

Operating as an independent producer, Olivencia Jr. has released several recordings under his own production. His discography includes the album "Planté Bandera de Nuevo", as well as the singles "Mi Querido Viejo" and "Rumba en el Cielo". He followed these with the holiday single "La Navidad Más Larga" in 2024 and "Vuelve Pancuco" in August 2025, which was composed by Raúl Berríos Reymundi.
