Luis Omar Sanabria, known professionally as Luis Omare, is a Puerto Rican singer and plenero from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Beginning his career in 2004, he first performed with several of Puerto Rico's prominent plena groups. Over his career, he has achieved recognition as a Grammy Award winner and a two-time Latin Grammy nominee. He has also served as a lead vocalist for the Guasabara Combo, an acclaimed salsa ensemble led by producer and pianist Jose Lugo.
As a solo artist, Omare frequently incorporates traditional Puerto Rican festive elements into his salsa recordings. In 2024, he released the singles "El Parrandero" and "Cuanto Tiempo". The latter, a holiday-themed salsa track, featured a collaboration with his young son, Gabi.
