Servando y Florentino is a Venezuelan music duo consisting of brothers Servando Primera (born August 27, 1980) and Florentino Primera (born August 31, 1981). They are the sons of the Venezuelan musician and activist Alà Primera, who died in 1985. The brothers began their music careers as adolescent singers in the Venezuelan salsa group SalserÃn. After gaining recognition within the band, they left the group in 1997 to form their own duo, with singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner serving as a mentor during their transition to a teenage salsa-pop act.
In 1997, the duo released their debut studio album, Los Primera. The album's lead single, Una Fan Enamorada, achieved commercial success, topping the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Tropical Airplay charts in the United States. This success earned them three nominations at the 1999 Lo Nuestro Awards, including Tropical/Salsa Duo or Group of the Year, New Tropical/Salsa Artist of the Year, and Tropical/Salsa Song of the Year. The album was also nominated for two awards at the 1999 Latin Billboard Music Awards, recognizing them in the Tropical/Salsa album of the year categories.
The duo's music blends elements of salsa, ballads, and Colombian pop. They have remained active in the recording industry across multiple decades. Recent releases in their catalog include the 2024 single Lo De Los Dos, as well as several 2025 releases, such as the album Se Buscan: Vivos o Inmortales (LADO A) and the singles Yo No Soy Diferente, Amor de Motel, and MiopÃa.
