Mario Alberto Enrique Mauricio Durán, performing under the name Maryto y su Salsón, is a Peruvian singer and songwriter. Born on January 24, 1991, in Callao, Lima, Peru, he has established himself within the Peruvian salsa scene, often referred to by the moniker "Rey chalaco de la salsa romántica" for his focus on romantic salsa and timba.
His musical catalog features numerous live recordings and studio tracks. One of his highly recognized releases, "Ámame," achieved significant streaming success after its launch. Another key project was "Te Vi Venir," a ballad adapted into a salsa arrangements.
Between 2025 and 2026, Maryto y su Salsón released the album Salsa Romantica, Vol. 2, alongside a series of live singles recorded in 2025 such as "Cama y Mesa (En Vivo)," "Por Eso Esta Conmigo (En Vivo)," "Como Te Hago Entender (En Vivo)," "Entrega (En Vivo)," and "Besame (En Vivo)."
