Juan Reinaldo Bayona, known professionally as Ray Bayona, is an Ecuadorian salsa singer born on May 27, 1965, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His career in music began in 1984 when, at the age of 18, he won a salsa competition on the television show "Chispazos." Throughout his career, Bayona has performed as a vocalist, collaborating with salsa figures such as trombonist Jimmy Bosch.
In his solo work, Bayona has released a series of salsa singles. His discography includes "Mujer Divina" and "Traketeo" in 2019, "Manos Candela (5to Aniversario)" in 2022, and "Echar Pa 'Lante" in 2024. In 2025, he released the single "Este Soy Yo," which was executive produced by Irwin RodrÃguez (Wito) under the NMJ Animal Music Records LLC label. He followed this with the single "Muñeca De Aire" in 2026.
