Carlos Faroy is a Cuban singer-songwriter originally from Havana, known professionally by the moniker "El Elegante de la Salsa." He relocated to Miami, Florida, in 2000, where he established his musical career. In addition to recording his own material, Faroy has composed songs for various other Latin music artists and ensembles.
Faroy made his solo recording debut in 2012 with the album Mi Religion Es la Salsa. In 2018, he released his second studio album, Vengo Con To', a collaborative project with musician and producer Carlos Infante. Operating within the salsa and timba genres, Faroy has continued to release music regularly, including live singles like "En Misa y Procesión" (2021) and "Vengo Duro y Caliente" (2023), followed by studio singles such as "Mitad Ron Mitad Cerveza" (2024) and "Como Un Tornado" (2025).
