Raulin Rosendo

Raulín Rosendo (born Raúl Martínez on August 30, 1957, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican salsa singer and sonero. Immersed in the rhythms of Afro-Antilles music throughout his childhood, he began his performing career at the age of 12 as a member of the merengue group El Chivo y Su Banda. He later worked with other high-profile acts, including Fernandito Villalona and Conjunto Clásico, before relocating to New York City to launch his solo career. He became widely known by the nickname "El Sonero del Pueblo."

Over a career spanning several decades, Rosendo built an extensive discography in the salsa genre. His body of work includes albums such as "Historia de Exitos" (1998) and "Joya de Quisqueya" (2015). He has maintained a consistent output of new recordings, including the 2021 album "Tranquilo Que Yo Controlo" and the 2024 album "No Estaba Muerto, Andaba de Parranda."

In addition to full-length albums, Rosendo has released numerous singles throughout his career. These include "Lagrimas y Lluvia" (2016), "No Saben Nada" (2020), "Uno Se Cura" (2021), and "Tiempo Para Amar" (2022). In 2024, his singles catalog expanded with the tracks "Amalia La Bandolera," "Niña y Señora (Remastered)," "Ponte Pa Ti (Me Puse Pa Mi)," and "Rondando tu esquina."
