Sandro Turrini, known professionally as DJ Turro (or DJ Turro El Martillo), was born in Sassuolo, Modena, Italy, on September 8, 1963. He began his career as a DJ and radio speaker in 1979 for Punto Radio Sassuolo, where he hosted Sound City, a program dedicated to funky music.
In 2025, DJ Turro released the timba single Tu Cariñito.
