Carlos Alfredo Valencia Caicedo, known professionally as Mamuang (also referred to as Mamuang el indomable), is a singer and songwriter specializing in salsa, salsa urbana, and salsa choke. Born on February 6, 1994, in Tumaco, Colombia, he established his musical career primarily in Ecuador, where he is widely recognized in the regional Latin music scene.
In his early career, Valencia performed alongside Eddy Moreno as part of the urban salsa duo Unisono. The duo gained recognition with the song "Amor mÃo." As a solo artist, Mamuang writes and composes his own material, expanding his sound to incorporate elements of urban salsa, romantic pop, and dancehall.
Mamuang's discography includes the 2024 album "La Nueva Era" alongside a series of singles. Among his notable tracks are the 2023 release "Gustico En La Boca," and 2024 singles such as "Te Lo Agradezco," "Te Hago Falta," "Me Derrumbo," "Es Amor," "Money," "Acuerdate De Mi," and "Sin Censura."
