
Dj Ricky Campanelli was born on August 14, 1979, in Montreal, Canada. Raised in a musical family by parents who were long-time musicians, he went on to build a career as a Latin music producer, composer, sound engineer, and DJ. Over his career, his work has spanned genres including salsa, timba, mambo, bachata, and son cubano, earning him a Latin Grammy nomination.
His discography in production includes his second album, Modestia Aparte, released in 2012, which featured the single "Superman" in collaboration with Jesús "El Niño" Alejandro and Edwin Bonilla. In 2014, he released the single "Alma De Rumbero," followed by a full-length album of the same name in 2018. The album focused on a salsa dura style designed for DJs, mambo dancers, and competitors.
Campanelli has remained active through a consistent output of singles and albums. In 2019, he released several singles including "Dame una Razon," "Angel," "Contigo," "Love Song," and "Échale Madera."
