Septeto Acarey

Septeto Acarey is a salsa and traditional Cuban son group formed on December 12, 2014, in Lima, Peru. The ensemble was founded by Cuban bassist and musical director Reynier Pérez, who originally moved from Havana to Peru in 2005. Prior to establishing the septet, Pérez performed with Cuban ensembles such as La Familia Valera Miranda and the Afro Cuban All Stars, and collaborated with prominent Latin music figures including José Alberto "El Canario", Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Luis Enrique.

The group is characterized by its blend of traditional Cuban son with modern melodies, performing across genres including salsa, timba, and cumbia. Following their self-titled debut album in 2017, the ensemble gained recognition with popular tracks such as "Y llegaste tú" and "Eres mi sueño."

In 2024 and 2025, Septeto Acarey expanded its catalog with several live and studio releases. Key major works from this period include the albums "Subiendo El Tono" (2025) and "Suena WOW" (2025), the latter a collaborative album with Dilbert Aguilar y Su Orquesta La Tribu and Bryan Arambulo. In addition to studio work, they launched live compilations titled "10 Años de Música, Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2", alongside various singles like "Amame", "Aunque Ya No Vuelva a Verte", "La Carta", "No Queremos Morir", "Que Bien Se Siente", "Como Se Olvida", and "Acarey en el Teatro Nacional".
