Shawnee Taveras, universally known by her stage name EhShawnee, is a Dominican salsa singer born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Raised between her native country and Rhode Island, she officially launched her salsa career in the summer of 2017 with her debut single, "Cambio Dolor," which she promoted across a national media tour in the Dominican Republic.
In 2019, EhShawnee was awarded Best New Artist (Revelación del Año) at the Dominican Republic's Conga Awards, cementing her reputation as an emerging voice in modern female salsa.
Since her debut, EhShawnee has continually expanded her discography with single releases and compilations. Her work includes releases such as "Ana Gabriel (Medley)" in 2021, âTe Voy a Olvidarâ and âFĂĄltame el Respetoâ in 2022, her 2023 album "Esenciales," and the 2024 single "No Ha Sido FĂĄcil." She has continued to release music into 2025, including the singles "CorazĂłn Encadenado" and "Por El Resto De Tu Vida."
