Antonio Rodríguez Castillo, known professionally as Sexappeal, is a Dominican salsa singer from Santo Domingo. His musical career gained significant momentum in 2001 following the release of his hit single "La llorona." The track earned international recognition within the Latin music and dance community, leading to Sexappeal winning the "New Artist of the Year" award at the Casandra Awards in the Dominican Republic. Following this success, he signed with the J&N Records label in 2002.
Sexappeal continued to establish himself as a leading figure in Dominican salsa. In 2005, he was honored as the "Best Dominican Salsa Singer of the Year" at the Casandra Awards. While predominantly recognized for his energetic salsa performances, he has also explored other traditional Latin genres such as bolero.
In recent years, Sexappeal has maintained a consistent recording career. He released the albums "Salsa con Sexappeal" in 2023 and "Canta Corazón" in 2025. His active discography also features numerous singles, including "Entrégate" (2022), "Homenaje A José José (Medley)" (2023), "Quién (Versión Salsa)" (2024), "Cómo Olvidarme de Ti" (2025), and "HOMENAJE A FERNANDO VILLALONA" (2026).
