
Nelson Arrieta is a Venezuelan salsa singer originally from Maracaibo. Raised with an appreciation for the traditional Venezuelan genre of gaita, he was also deeply influenced during his childhood by Puerto Rican salsa cassette tapes shared with him by his uncle Venancio. Over a career spanning more than three decades in the spotlight, Arrieta established himself in tropical music before transitioning into a career as a solo artist.
Arrieta's musical catalog spans both the salsa and merengue genres. In 2024, he released the live album 'Solo Por Ti Tour (En Vivo Desde El Teatro Teresa Carreño)', capturing a prominent concert performance in Caracas, Venezuela. His recent recording history features a consistent output of singles, including 'Vivo De Tus Recuerdos' (2023), 'Juntos' (2024), 'Tú De Qué Vas' (2025), and 'Mil Horas' (2026).
