
Josimar y Su Yambú is a Peruvian salsa and timba orchestra formed in 2011 by singer and songwriter Josimar Diego Alejandro Fidel Farfán. Born on May 14, 1987, in the district of Lima, Peru, Fidel gained musical experience performing with several established cumbia and salsa groups, including Caribeños de Guadalupe, Mangú, Grupo 5, and La Novel, before establishing his own orchestra as its lead vocalist.
The group became highly active in recording and releasing music, with a catalog of releases spanning from 2015 to 2025. In 2025, the orchestra released the album "América" and its corresponding single, the live album "Nuestros 53 Años (En Vivo)," and a series of singles including "Clásicos de Oro," "Cuando Estoy Junto a Ti," "Espérame," "El Hombre del Carro," "Ay Traicionera," "SI QUIERES," "Tattoo (Salsa Remix)," "Ya No Te Buscaré," and "EL REGIONAL ME LLAMO."
