Jean Carlos Santiago Pérez, known professionally as Guaynaa, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer born on September 16, 1992, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Born to a Puerto Rican father and a Cuban mother, he worked as a mall phone salesman and studied to become a petrochemical engineer before shifting his focus to a career in music.
Signed to the music label Universal Music Latino, Guaynaa achieved significant mainstream success, notably with the single "Se Te Nota," a collaboration with singer and actress Lele Pons, whom he married in March 2023. The track was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His work has also extended into television and film, with associations to productions such as Father of the Bride, Insecure, and Savage Rhythm.
Initially emerging with a primary focus on reggaeton around 2018, Guaynaa has continued to release a diverse range of music. In 2025, his releases included the album "Cumbia y Amor," alongside singles such as "Hasta El Sol De Hoy," "Homenaje a Tito Rojas," "Rubia Mala," "Chica Ideal (Versión Salsa)," and "Ritmo del Negro" featuring Afro Bros.
