Jimmy Rodriguez began his musical path at the age of ten, singing on public buses to earn tips and financially support his mother. At age 20, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career as a professional vocalist. He went on to establish himself as a prominent figure in the contemporary salsa genre, gaining recognition particularly in Mexico and the wider Latin American music scene.
Rodriguez's recording history includes early singles like "Disparame" and "El salsero Mexicano" in 2021, followed by "El RumbĆ³n" in 2023. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with several notable tropical and salsa artists. His 2024 track "La Visualizo 2.0 (Remix)" features Venezuelan singer Jonathan Moly, while his 2025 single "Vuelve" represents a collaboration with Peruvian salsa singer Daniela Darcourt. He also collaborated with Venezuelan vocalist Ronald Borjas on the track "Ella Sabe".
In 2025, Rodriguez released the studio album "Loco SoƱador" as well as the live recording "Jimmy Rodriguez - Live at The Black Room Sessions." His output from this period also features several independent singles, including "Yo Te Voy A Amar," "Me Dedique A Perderte," and "300 Besos Ricos."
