Antonio Guillermo 'Tony' Succar is a Peruvian-born American percussionist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and producer. Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Miami, Florida, he grew up in a musical family that shaped his development. Succar first rose to prominent international recognition with his concept project, 'Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson', showcasing his distinctive blend of salsa, timba, and Latin jazz.
Succar's production work has earned major industry accolades. In 2019, he won two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Salsa Album and Producer of the Year, becoming the youngest artist to win both categories. In 2025, he won a Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album alongside his mother, the Peruvian singer Mimy Succar.
Active in the recording catalog since 2010, Succar has maintained a steady creative output. His recent discography features the 2024 single 'Traicionera' and a prolific series of 2025 releases—including 'Amor Galáctico', 'Nada Soy', 'Caballo Viejo', and 'Apocalipsis (versión salsa)' culminating in the 2026 album release, 'ASUCCAR'.
