
Alexis Valdés is a Cuban actor, comedian, filmmaker, singer, and songwriter born in Havana, Cuba, on August 16, 1963. The son of Caridad Gutiérrez and the Cuban comedian and actor Leonel Valdés, he grew up in an artistic household. He completed a degree in thermal engineering at Havana's Polytechnic José Antonio Echeverría before transitioning into the performing arts. He first gained recognition in Cuba during the 1980s for his performance as Bandurria in the television series Los pequeños fugitivos.
Over the following decades, Valdés built a diverse career writing, producing, and hosting television programs, as well as performing comedy and plays. Throughout his career, he has also worked as a singer and composer, exploring musical genres such as timba, son cubano, salsa, and nueva trova.
In 2011, Valdés released the album Con Cariñito alongside singles like El Tipo Del Wao. His recording catalog features a variety of singles, including Yo No Se Que le Pasa a Donald Trump in 2015, Yo Soy Cubano in 2021, and Mi Isla Bella in 2023. In 2025, he continued his musical output with the singles La Niña de Guatemala and HASTA EL FONDO.
