El Niño y la Verdad is a Cuban musical group founded on June 28, 2013, by lead singer and composer Emilio Frías, known as "El Niño," alongside pianist and musical director Wilfredo "Pachy Jr." Naranjo. Frías, who was born in the Los Pocitos neighborhood of Marianao in Havana, Cuba, previously collaborated with Naranjo starting in 2009 when Frías joined the prominent orchestra Elito Revé y Su Charangón. To establish the band, they also teamed up with guitarist and musical director Dayron Ortega.
The group was created to preserve and promote traditional Cuban music, including son cubano, while infusing it with contemporary harmonies and modern arrangements. Their style spans across salsa, son cubano, and timba. Reflecting these traditional roots mixed with modern structures, the band quickly established a presence in the Cuban popular music scene.
Between 2014 and 2026, the group released numerous singles and recordings. Their recent work includes 2024 singles like "Tu Perdón," "Ella," "Malos Gustos," and "LOS MAYORES (Homenaje a El Taiger)." They continued with 2025 releases such as "DILE," "Loco de Qué," "MI GPS," and "Mínimo (Salsa Remix)," as well as 2026 tracks "QUE LE DIGO AL AMOR" and "FALTA DE PARTY."
