Douglas Ascanio is a Venezuelan composer, music producer, and publicist based in Caracas. Known as a writer of "poesía bailable" (danceable poetry), Ascanio developed a passion for writing and poetry from a young age. As a songwriter, his compositions have been integrated into the repertoires of tropical and salsa vocalists such as Nelson Arrieta and Jennifer Moya.
In his own recording career, Ascanio has been active in the salsa genre since 2018. His discography includes the albums "Me Gusta" (2021) and "Enamorame de Ti" (2022). He has also released a continuous string of singles, such as "Yo Me Devuelvo" (2023), "Cualquiera" (2024), and 2025 tracks like "Supe Que Eras Tú" and "Cómo Te Explico".
