Luis Fernando Borjas Márquez is a Venezuelan singer, songwriter, and composer born on December 15, 1974, in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Before his mainstream rise, he began his musical career in traditional Venezuelan bagpiper (gaita) groups such as Makuare, Ecos del Zulia, and Aguacero. He is widely recognized for his 26-year tenure as a lead vocalist for the legendary Venezuelan band Guaco, contributing to their signature fusion of gaita, salsa, and tropical sounds.
After departing Guaco in 2021, Borjas established himself as a solo artist, launching his career with the debut single "La Miraíta" under the Cae Group label and releasing his solo project, "5:10am." He also reunited with family member Ronald Borjas for the collaborative project "Los Borjas." His solo recordings and collaborations often incorporate salsa, tropical, and timba arrangements.
From 2023 onward, Borjas has continued to register a consistent stream of releases. These include collaborative singles like "Los Borjas: Ronald Borjas & Luis Fernando Borjas (Mix En Vivo)" (2023), "Cuestión De Tiempo" (2023), and the acoustic medley single in 2024. He has also released a series of full-length albums, including "Tengo Algo Que Decirte" (2024), "Juguete Nuevo" (2025), and "Consentido" (2026).
