
Roberto Ferrante is an Italian record producer and label founder born in Naples, Italy, on March 28, 1965. Having started his career as a producer in 1983 in the fields of dance, hip-hop, and Latin music, he founded the record label Planet Records in 1997. Initially active in international pop and dance, the label expanded in 2003 into the Latin American music market, becoming active in promoting genres such as salsa, bachata, reggaeton, dembow, cubaton, and merengue urbano, first in Europe and later globally.
In addition to his work running the label, Ferrante has remained an active producer and artist, with releases in the catalog spanning from 2019 to 2025. His catalog features numerous singles, including collaborative productions with El Bandolero such as "Niveles Son Niveles", "Mi Loquita", and "El Error". Other singles released under his billing or production include "Tu Tranca", "Un Siglo Sin Ti", "Ropopocho", "Carne", "El Fallo", "Tremendo Chu Chu Chu", "Matador De Mujeres", "Mujer Igual Que Tú", and "10 Años Después".
