Luis Charcopa, professionally known as El Tita Salsa Urbana, is an Ecuadorian singer and songwriter. Born on December 28, 1990, in Borbón, Cantón Eloy Alfaro, in the Esmeraldas province of Ecuador, he grew up in a musical family of guitarists and is the son of Merlín Charcopa. Musical from an early age, he began his career performing at local events and community festivals.
His music blends salsa, salsa choke, and timba. Throughout his career, which features a steady output of single releases beginning in the early 2020s, he has expressed a professional desire to eventual collaborate with established artists like Gilberto Santa Rosa.
From 2024 to 2026, El Tita Salsa Urbana released a substantial series of singles. His 2024 works include "El desquite", "Compai Gato", and "El Perfume en tu piel". The following year, he released "Amor De Verdad", "Boquita de mermelada", "Al Quieto Se Deja Quieto", "Todo Me Da Igual", "Imaginame sin ti", "Sin Billete (Remix)", and "Bandida".
