Hector Luis Pagan is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist associated with the contemporary salsa brava movement. Drawing from the Puerto Rican diaspora, Pagan's musical style incorporates traditional salsa brava as well as fusions with soul and Latin jazz. His music career and songwriting interests began during his childhood; he started singing and composing around the age of eight, with "Anoche Sone" marking his first composition.
As a multi-faceted artist, Pagan frequently acts as vocalist, composer, arranger, and bongo player on his recordings. For his single "Mas Alla De Tu Capacidad," released in early 2026, he collaborated with a studio ensemble consisting of pianist Leonardo Garcia, timbalero Dominique Patrick Noel, conguero Eduardo Padua, bassist Tony Rivera, trombonist Mike Matarrazo, and backing vocalist William Pagan, with mixing and mastering handled by Emmanuel "Cerebro" Romero.
Pagan has released multiple singles between 2024 and 2026. His discography includes tracks such as "El Repique De Dolores" (2024), "Dame Tu Amistad" (2025), "Yo Soy De Puerto Rico (Versión Salsa)" (2025), "A MI ESTILO" (2025), and several 2026 singles including "Naci Pa Esto," "El Corazon No Olvida," and "Detras De Una Mentira." He has also released the singles "Linda Aguadora," "NO IMPORTA LA DISTANCIA," and "LO QUE PROMETISTE."
