Carmen Migdalia Muradas González, known professionally as Karmen Muradas and by her moniker "La Nena de la Salsa," is a Cuban-Colombian singer, songwriter, orchestra director, and industrial engineer. Born on December 18, 1995, in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, she began her artistic career at the age of seven, debuting as a presenter and singer on Cuban television.
Muradas achieved notable recognition as the first female artist to win two consecutive World Salsa Championships (Mundial de Salsa) in Cali, Colombia, taking the title in 2013 and 2014 in the "Ensamble" (Orquesta) category. Her musical style integrates both traditional salsa and timba, and she has been associated with the modern "Salsa Fresh" style.
Her catalog of recordings spans from 2019 through 2025. Her prominent releases include "No Quiero Compromiso (Salsa Version)" in 2022, "Salsa Kuduro" in 2023, and "Salsa fresh 1.0" in 2024. Her active output continued into 2025 with the singles "Que Hago," "La Cañona," and a cumbia version of "Cosas del Amor."
